What is Take7?

Take7 is an initiative formed by a group of friends with a shared goal: to provide comfortable, practical clothing to
people experiencing hardship and/or homelessness in our communities.
We recognise that while food, showers and laundry services are often available through support networks, access to
clean, functional clothing can be limited. That’s where Take7 steps in.

What do we do?

Collect

People donate new or gently used, clean clothing, shoes and essentials

Sort

Items are checked and organised into categories ready for use

Transport

Our mobile wardrobe takes clothing directly to community service hubs

Take 7

Each person chooses up to seven items with dignity and support
We collect new or gently used, freshly washed, functional clothing - items that may not be pristine but are still in really good condition:
We then sort, hang, and transport these items using a small box truck directly to community service hubs - places
already offering maybe food, showers, or laundry, but lacking clothing support.
On ‘site’, individuals are invited on a one-to-one basis to take up to 7 items from our mobile wardrobe. It’s more than
just clothing - it’s a moment for Manaakitanga (respect, generosity and care) and a good kōrerorero (chat).

How can you help?

We rely on ongoing support to keep this initiative running. Here’s how you can get involved:

Donate financially

Give $7 to Take7 every 7 days (the cost of a weekly café coffee)!!
Actually, we will take any $$ donation, more or less than $7, on a more or less frequent basis than weekly!! We are
also thankful to be operating under the Windsor Park Baptist Church umbrella, who are generously managing our
donations and issuing annual tax receipts. If Windsor Park doesn’t already have your contact details, please send
them to accounts@windsorpark.org.nz so they know where to email your donation receipt.
